Oh, sweet relief

Mommy had Daddy get this stuff that tastes like candy and she gave it to me and I feel so much better! In fact, I felt so much better, I took a really long nap. I don't know what it was, but I'm happy to have had it!

Yesterday was really bad, I just couldn't seem to feel better no matter what and Mommy and Daddy dragged me out to take pictures, of all things! Oh, WHY? I felt a little better after the pictures, from my teething tablets, but during them, I just wanted it to be over. I did like playing with their little chair, it was neat, and then there was a little boy named Gavin when we left who kept trying to kiss me! Silly boy! But he was funny.

Make it stop!!

Oh, I'm so miserable! Tooth number eight is coming in, I'm sick, this is awful! Mommy just doesn't get it--nothing is making me feel better. I hurt, I'm stuffed up and all I want to do is sleep, but that means not playing and I can't stand that! I just want to lie here and wait for everything to stop hurting. At least Mommy's trying to make it better. I got to take two baths today, which was great! I love taking baths. I wish I could just hop in whenever I feel like it.

Fun times!

Today we went bowling with Rebecca and Sarah and out to eat afterwards to help Sarah study for a test tomorrow. I had lots of fun running around the bowling alley and playing with Rebecca and felt like being really silly!

Ewww!

What is this white stuff everywhere? It's cold! I don't like it! Mommy says it's snow. But I did like going out shopping with Mommy and Sarah. Daddy met up with us and Rebecca and we went out to eat afterwards--it was great! I really like Rebecca, she's fun! And I'm always happy to see Daddy when he gets off work.

That's number seven...

I got in tooth number seven today. I wouldn't mind if these things stopped coming in some time soon.

Daddy

I love my Daddy. Yesterday, we went out together while Mommy and Aunt Neenee went to a movie. I took a nap for half of it, but then we went to Barnes and Noble and I played with the trains with another little girl, who stuck up for me when some bossy kids showed up. After I was done playing, we went out to the van for a little bit and then Mommy showed up with Aunt Neenee and we went to eat. We had fun together.

Then today, when Daddy left for work this morning, I really wanted him to take me with him! I didn't understand why I was staying home and I got sad. I kept asking to go with him, but he just said bye-bye, so I waved and he left. At least I still have Mommy, but I got used to having Daddy around all weekend!

Rough Day

Mommy has felt really bad all day. I've tried to cheer her up, but I'm glad Daddy's here or I don't think anything would get done! I hope she feels better, I don't like being locked out of the bathroom when she's there or seeing her feeling so bad. I'll just be silly and hope it makes her feel better.

I can scribble!

Today when Mommy was filling out a bunch of boring forms, I thought I'd help out! So I took a pen and scribbled on them like she was! She kept telling me to scribble on a blank piece of paper, but I was trying to help! Silly Mommy, she'll thank me some day.

I can help Mommy!

So, I've been learning to help clean with Mommy by putting my blocks away (and anything else I get out) and now, I'm getting good at helping her dress me! She moved me into pull-ups a few days ago to make diaper changes easier and they have been! I can just step into them, it's great. Daddy isn't as patient with me, but he'll learn. He just doesn't understand that I can help! He thinks I'm just trying to wiggle away (okay, so sometimes I am)!

I went to Nicky's birthday party the other day and had a blast! I helped him open a couple presents when he wasn't paying attention and helped clean up a little (I did help make a lot of the mess, after all) at the end.

Big news!

Mommy and Daddy found out and told me today. I don't know what to think yet. They're very happy, though, so I don't think it can be bad!

I can do it, too!

I helped Mommy put my blocks away! She put some next to me and I saw she wanted them in the box, so I helped! When I would put them too high, I would do it over until it looked right. Daddy gave me a hug and praised me big!

A few days ago, I started nodding, too! I can shake my head OR nod now! It looks like I'm headbanging, Mommy and Daddy say! Hahaha, I love to dance like that, too!

Success!

Today I finally figured out how to drink from a straw. Yay me!

Zoo and time away from Mommy...

Today was a fun day! First, we got up and went to the zoo, since it was so nice out and they were doing Hoots and Howls, which included being in costume. I was a cheerleader! My aunt Crissi got me this cute costume. We played at the playground first, then we went and sat at the carousel, where I got a snack from Mommy and we waited for Rebecca and Sarah. When they didn't show up, we went and saw the elephants, then came back and there they were! We all walked around the zoo and rode the tram and had lots of fun.


Then we went to El Maguey with Rebecca and Sarah, who bought us lunch and I got to have chips and salsa and quesadilla, yummy! We ate outside and I sat in my stroller and got feds lots of little treats. We had a good time, especially me since I LOVE salsa!!

After that, though, we went to Aunt Crissi's house and she was dressed so scary that I cried! Mommy got changed into a gypsy costume, nursed me and then left! Eek! She said bye-bye lots and told me she loved me, but she left with aunt Crissi! I was upset for a few minutes, but then my cousins were just too much fun to stay upset! Daddy, my cousins and I went to a play place and I had lots of fun with them and I barely noticed how long Mommy was gone. She was making some extra money 'reading cards' whatever that is. But in the end, she came back and we all had fun until really late when we left and I fell asleep on the way home.

Happy Birthday to me!

Wow, today has been so great! The only time I got upset all day was when Mommy changed my diaper at the Picture People and I wanted to be walking around! Specifically, I wanted to be pushing the stroller. But that was only a minute, then I was off laughing as I pushed it! We went and played after my pictures (which I smiled a lot during--I had fun!) and then we went to Sarah and Rebecca's to watch Heroes and I talked the whole time. I have all these new clothes to wear and new toys that I love (especially the purse from Mommy and Daddy and cars from Nicky and phone with answering machine from aunt Neenee, although everything is great--I have this nifty crocheted cupcake that smells really good that I played with during pictures).

Mommy says there will be more toys when we go to Target after the pediatrician on Wednesday, because of the money from grandpa Joe. I'm going to get a set of blocks! Mommy says they're good for my brain. I just love banging them together!

Mommy changed my piano to individual keys (instead of it playing songs of its own) now--it's so much more fun! I got a few bites of the rest of my birthday cake for dessert tonight and I'm getting tired, so I think I'll go to bed soon. Good night everyone! And hello, toddlerhood!
