What a day is like for me

So, I'm getting to be such a big girl now! I thought I'd update what a day is like for me.

I start out by waking up and getting out of bed, then going to find Mommy, as she usually wakes up first. I call for her, sometimes I cry, but usually not if she meets me half way in the hall! Then I have numma and Mommy takes off my diaper or pull-up.

You see, I only have to wear a diaper or pull-up around the house at night, because while I'm almost always dry, when I'm not feeling good, sometimes I won't hold it all night and I'll be too tired to get out of bed, so I'll have an accident. But most of the time, I'm dry until I can get to the potty.

Then I ask for breakfast. I like egg for breakfast--either an omelet with onions, salt, pepper and cheese or fried with a little salt are my favorites. Sometimes I like a blueberry waffle with parkay spray instead, or oatmeal made with milk and with jam or a little can of fruit mixed in. I like to drink milk or water with it. I'm good at saying which I want.

I like to watch Mommy cook. and hold the spatula when she's not using it!

Then I play while Mommy's on the computer. Sometimes I bring something to draw on and sit in the chair with Mommy. Sometimes, I get out my aquadoodle pad and draw on the floor instead. And sometimes, I ask to watch a baby einstein or thomas the train or little bear.

I can potty by myself and I use the big toilet when I need to, then stand on it after I flush and wash my hands. I usually need help getting soap, though! But that's why I'm naked all day--clothes sometimes make me forget or slow me down and I have accidents. When I go potty when we're out, I need my pants taken all the way off at least one leg so I can straddle the potty--otherwise I fall in!

Sometime during the day, I like to get Mommy to read to me and we read about 10-20 books. I can read some of them to Mommy (by pictures). I've learned most of my colors now and am very good at purple, pink, blue and usually red and green. I get yellow most of the time now and grey and brown aren't hard.

Then we have lunch--I tend to not eat much for lunch and want more numma, but I'll have some of whatever Mommy eats. I like to have some tasty bread especially. Or just some fruit. My favorite fruits are banana, peaches, nectarines, watermelon and pear. To drink, I like to have water or maybe some chai latte or chocolate milk or tea, although I get those not very often.

Then Daddy comes home--yay! I get so excited to see my Daddy and I hope we're going bye-bye! The house can get so boring. If we go bye-bye, I can get myself dressed a little. I can pull on my pullup and put on a shirt and pants if I try hard enough, but usually need help. Socks are too hard, but I can put shoes on. I wear a pull-up out in case Mommy and Daddy don't hear me when I ask to go to the bathroom or we're too far away or I forget to ask.

In the carseat, I can buckle my chest strap closed, but the leg straps need help! I like to have a blanket if it's cold and right now, my stuffed kitty. I used to like to have a book with me. I prefer to walk most of the time, but sometimes I like to be carried or ride in the cart. If we're at the store, I like to put stuff on the conveyer when we're checking out. It helps distract me from all that candy! I like to have a snack in the car, like a banana or goldfish crackers.

When we get home, I like to have lots for dinner. Sometimes I don't want to eat much of anything, though. I like my food with lots of flavor, but not too hot! If I make a mess, I like to be the one to clean it up. I love helping clean!

I like to have a bath as often as possible, too. I can wash my body myself and don't need any help, just sometimes some direction if I miss a spot! It takes me a while to get them all. I can almost wash my hair, which is important, because I hate having my hair washed by someone else! I'm trying very hard to learn. Mommy and Daddy wash my hair with the shower sprayer fast on days when it needs it, which always makes me cry for a little bit. I really don't like that! But in the bath takes even longer of upsetting me. But I love everything else about baths!

After bath, I want numma with Mommy in bed. Baths are pretty random through the day.

I'm starting to not take naps. If we go somewhere, I take my nap in the carseat, but if we're home, I often don't take a nap anymore, or take it from 8-10, when Mommy wakes me up. Numma then, too!

Daddy goes to bed and we stay up for a few more hours and go to bed between 2-3am. This way, I can wake up around 12-1 and Daddy's only gone a short part of the day, so I get the most time with him I can, which I like now. I like Daddy's new job. I ask if he's working and when I'm ready for him to come home, I start saying so. Sometimes, it's "Daddy working? Ringing?" meaning that I want Daddy to call and then come home.

I'm a pretty independent girl, but I still love to snuggle. And I like going to play at the bookstore or go out to eat with Sarah and Becky. Or have Janene come over and ask her to read to me and play with me.

At the end of the day, Mommy has me grab a diaper or pull-up and we go to bed. I bounce around a little and giggle, then we put on the diaper and pajamas or my nightgown or nightshirt. Then we turn out the night light we use to get ready by (so as not to wake Daddy) and snuggle and I get numma while Mommy tells me my favorite stories--"Zoo Day 1-2-3", which I call "Giraffe" and "Goodnight Moon", which I just call "Moon". Then she sings Hush, Little Baby, A-B-C and then Twinkle, Twinkle and then we say good-night to everything and everyone I can think of, finally we say night-night to the nummas and I stop and snuggle some more. Then I like to pull the blanket over my head and sometimes I babble a while, then we fall asleep.

If Mommy spends too much time on the computer, I let her know that it's bedtime. I like bedtime! And then my day is done!

My art

Here are a few pictures I've drawn. The first is the first one I ever did, on my Magnadoodle. The rest are a drawing I did with crayons on paper and drawings and colorings I did with my 2nd birthday present coloring book!

I'm two!

Today was my birthday!! Wow, everyone kept telling me about it, but I didn't really know that it was a day to celebrate me. Mommy woke me up early to open presents (Daddy had a really hard time waking up) so we could go to the pediatrician.

I loved my presents! Mommy says we'll make the playsilks colorful by dying them with Kool-Aid later. It was fun throwing them around, but I'm not sure what they're really for yet. Mommy says that my imagination will tell me.

We went to the pediatrician and I got a sticker since it was my birthday--it had a pony on it, I liked it so much I didn't want to put on my jacket and cover it up! I was 26.5lbs and 34" tall, making me perfectly average--50th percentile. Yay, me! My height has slowed down a little, but my weight is very good. The doctor doesn't think I had chicken pox, though (she said my spots were too small). We'll see--Mommy says she'll have my 'titers' drawn when I'm older to find out. Everyone else thinks the doctor was wrong. It's okay, she's funny and nice and her office has lots of pretty colors that I like!

Then we went by the park to see if they had reserved my birthday party time, but they didn't have a posted sheet anymore. So we're going to just go there anyway for my party. I was sad I didn't get to play, but Mommy was right--it was cold and too wet. I hope it's nice out for my party!

Then we went and got pictures taken at the mall. Mommy was in my pictures, too! Yay! There were lots of good pictures of me and baby Kick, too. I'm so excited to see baby Kick and I love feeling baby in Mommy's belly. I fell asleep after that, but woke up to see Mimi for a minute before I fell asleep again. When I woke up, Mommy gave me a cookie she got for me in the store. Then we went over to Mimi so she could give us my special birthday dinner, yay! She also had a surprise present for me--a balloon! I like balloons.

Then we went home and had the dinner (it was really yummy) and my birthday cake. Mommy and Daddy sang to me, too. Aunt Janene never came over, which made me a little sad, but Mommy said she had a bad day--her phone was broken, so she couldn't talk to us to meet up. But we ended the day watching Thomas The Tank Engine and reading and eating and being a happy family!

I have chicken pox!

As you can see, it's not a bad case, but I had bad diarrhea for a couple days before the spots started. I caught it from my friend, Keegan when we were playing a couple weeks ago. We had a lot of fun and he said he wanted me to come back until the next day. Then he said I shouldn't come over. When his mom asked why, he said it was because of the chicken pox he spotted up with that day. He didn't realize I'd already caught it! But he's a sweet friend, he didn't want me to be sick, too. I can't wait to get over this and go play with him again! Everyone keeps saying they feel bad for me, but I feel fine! The bites I got from that bad mosquito outside itch WAY more! At least I'll be all better before my birthday.

Renaissance Festival

Today I went to this place called Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs. I got to dress up like a pirate princess and Mommy was a fairy and we went with Aunt Neenee and Christyle and saw Aunt Crissi, Sydney, Alex and Eric H. as they were leaving.

We had a lot of fun. I got to eat a turkey leg and a bite of philly chips and got a ribbon to dance with since I had so much fun playing with the display one. Mommy got a parasol and we got a free fan and eye patch for getting those. I also got some juggling balls for my ball toss game in my playroom.

Then I went on this ride called the Crow's Nest that spins around really fast. I liked it for about the first half, then it got scary. I was really happy to get off, but later, when I saw it again, I ran over because I wanted to go again! But Mommy and Daddy said no since it scared me the first time. Oh, well.

At the end, I got to play in their playground and had lots of fun and then we went home.

OMG! Nooooooo!

Today, I saw this really cool big carousel and Mommy took me on it. At first, it was great, I thought. But then it started to move. I thought it was fun, but it got too fast and I was really scared. I think I'll stick to the small rides from now on.

Santacaligon Days

So much fun! At first, I was pretty tired--I fell asleep in Aunt Neenee's car after we went to the dollar store (where I got TWO dolls because I wanted them and Mommy made me pick one--she really picked--and a grandma-lady asked if she could buy me the other, so yay!) and when I woke up, Neenee was putting me in the stroller and she and Sarah pushed me up to Mommy, who got out of the car closer, I guess, while I was asleep, so she didn't have to walk as far (she has trouble with a lot of walking, my baby sibling makes her tummy hurt sometimes) and then we waited for Aunt Neenee to come back and I woke up slowly. Mommy handed me my doll (I was only allowed to carry one around the festival) and my water and then we went.

At first, it was interesting, but overwhelming. The grownups were just looking for food, so I just took in the sights and woke up, kinda bored. When Sarah and Neenee had food, we sat down and I got out of the stroller and ran around. We put on glow necklaces and bracelets and giggled and took pictures. Neenee wanted lots with me in my bonnet. I gave everyone kisses and Aunt Neenee lots of hugs, then Mommy put me on a leash so I could run around instead of just sitting in the boring stroller, yay!

Then we got to look at lots of stuff and had a lot of fun. Mommy got a sandwich and Sarah got Dot ice cream and everyone shared everything with me. I even got some of Neenee's tea! Yum! Then we came to this game, with all these rubber fish, like rubber duckies, and Aunt Neenee paid for me to play. It took a few minutes before I understood that it was okay to pick up the fish, then I did and won two small prizes. My first carnival game! I could have traded for a medium, but they weren't very good, so Mommy picked me a stuffed rubber ducky (yay!) and a light-up wand that has a moon and star and glows at different speeds--I really like them. We found a stand with cheap bracelets and I put LOTS on my arm, though Mommy made me pick just one (she picked, AGAIN).

Then Daddy got there with Rebecca and we all walked around a little more and I got to see some big animals called mules and I liked it, but when we got close enough to almost touch, I got scared. I just wanted to stare and stare, but Mommy took me back to Daddy. I wanted to go back, but she'd taken me over special to see them. Then we got some sweet stuff for Aunt Neenee and Rebecca and I got to have some and play on the railing to some shallow stairs we were sitting on until it was time to go get the famous rootbeer and then leave.

We drove back with Sarah and Neenee while Rebecca and Daddy walked back and then Mommy and Sarah sat on the porch and watched me play at home until Daddy and Rebecca got there. I fell chasing my ball and split my lip, ouch! But other than that, I had a lot of fun. I'm so very tired now, though, I'm going to sleep. I can't really keep my eyes open any more...
